What is Myotherapy?

Different Modalities of Myotherapy

What is Myotherapy?

In its basic form, myo means muscle; I provide therapy for the muscles. My skill set includes:

  • deep tissue massage
  • trigger point therapy
  • joint mobilisation
  • dry needling
  • cupping
  • stretching

As your therapist, it is my job to work out the best treatment plan for you. It is not “one size fits all” I see it as a jigsaw puzzle, finding the right pieces to fit. I do not charge extra for skills like dry needling and cupping, I do what I feel is the right course of action for you.

I am very hands on with my treatments; this is where I learn the most about your body and what is going on. Predominantly using deep tissue massage, adding other modalities where I see fit, while working to a level that is comfortable for you and your body.

I do not believe in “more pain, more gain” as I feel that by causing a lot of pain, all you will do is tense up, causing your muscles to not get the relief they need. Whilst it is not a fluffy “day spa” kind of treatment, there will be areas that do hurt, the work I do will be relieving.

All skills and techniques listed are included in your session, there are no extra charges.
